August 27, 2024 /3BL/ - Action Against Hunger is sounding the alarm around a growing nutritional emergency after the latest Survey Monitoring and Assessment of Malnutrition (SMART) revealed the prevalence of child malnutrition in Mali far exceeds critical thresholds set by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The Forward Fund is a ten-million-dollar community development investment by Johnsonville LLC, Kohler Co., Masters Gallery Foods Inc., Sargento Foods Inc., and Sheboygan County. It's mission is to provide funding to address short- and long-term workforce development barriers and is initially being used to drive the construction of entry-level homes.
Throughout the last year, we have continued to pursue and secure new Aluminium Stewardship Initiative (ASI) certifications as we strive to uphold high standards for responsible sourcing--but what does the full scope of our work with ASI look like, and how is it intersecting with our other sustainability efforts?

Q: What did you initially want out of your career?
Blair: When I first started with Quest, I was looking for a stable job that I enjoyed doing. I worked in the restaurant industry and childcare prior to taking a role with Quest and while I loved those jobs, they weren't something I saw myself doing long-term as a career.
The shift towards renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind power, is a critical component of global efforts to combat climate change and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. However, as with any large-scale development, these projects can have significant environmental and social impacts that must be carefully evaluated and managed. This is where Environmental Impact Assessments come into play.
