American Celebrates Excellence in Aviation Maintenance With Top Mechanics

FORT WORTH, Texas, September 26, 2024 /3BL/ - American Airlines recognized five of its top aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs) for their exceptional work in their field as recipients of this year’s Ken MacTiernan Excellence in Aviation Maintenance Award. Since 2019, the award has been honoring AMTs at American who exhibit the qualities of professional AMTs, strive to uphold the highest standards in aircraft maintenance and support and promote the profession.

New Beginnings: Delmarva Power Honors Workforce Development Graduates

Workforce develops remains a big part of our commitment to the communities we serve and recently, 34 students graduated from our three workforce development program cohorts, thanks to our partnerships with Cecil College, Delaware Technical Community College (DTCC) and the Forum for Advancing Minority Engineers (FAME).

Albertsons Companies Honors Hispanic Heritage Month With Festival Salvadoreñisimo and Dale City Fiesta

Albertsons Companies celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month through a series of festive activities, including participation in the 19th annual Festival Salvadoreñisimo in Gaithersburg, MD and a lively in-store fiesta at Safeway in Dale City, VA. Guests enjoyed an array of fresh samples, exciting raffles, spin wheel prizes, exclusive savings, and coupons. The lively salsa music, mariachi bands, DJs, and visits from radio stations kept everyone dancing and enjoying the festive atmosphere. 

IOC Announces Winners of Climate Action Awards 2024

September 25, 2024 /3BL/ - Olympic rower Imogen Grant from Great Britain, Olympic beach volleyball player Lina Taylor from Bulgaria, Swiss Olympic and the International Hockey Federation have been named the winners of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Climate Action Awards 2024, in recognition of their efforts to help address climate change and make the world of sport more sustainable.
