HGA Releases Boosting Equity in the Workplace Report

National interdisciplinary design firm, HGA, set out to understand how employees experience, perceive, and define workplace equity. Much of the literature on workplace equity focuses on its significance to business success rather than on the individual employee experience. Researchers from HGA’s Design Insight Group (DIG) interviewed 19 participants from diverse groups, including BIPOC, hourly employees, and those hired after March 2020.

Lifting Families out of Generational Poverty in the Volunteer State

The Highlands Training Center was born with a clear goal.

“Our goal number is just 10% of the children currently living in poverty in the Upper Cumberland region,” says Ryan Barnhart, executive director of the Highlands Training Center. “We’re working with almost 800 families, including parents and grandparents, to bring these kids out of poverty over the next three years.”
